My Journey
When you hear someone say, “Life can change in an instant,” believe it! My world was turned upside down not once, but three times in the last decade. Once when we lost everything in Hurricane Katrina, next when I lost my mother 3 years later to pancreatic cancer, and lastly when my youngest daughter and I were hit by a drunk driver. In every instance my life changed dramatically. The impact of losing everything in Hurricane Katrina didn’t compare to losing my best friend in my mother, but the biggest blow came when I lost my greatest passion in life – teaching. In just a short span of 10 years my life took on a different “normal” – physically and emotionally, yet spiritually I was solid and intact. Those seeds of faith were planted firmly years ago and I have my parents to thank for that precious gift.
In my blog I will discuss lessons I have learned in life and discoveries I have found through family, friends, faith and deep searching within myself. I’ll share some experiences and research I did while teaching as well. I have been blessed with a full life and so much to be thankful for on many levels. I wish to share pieces of my life and faith journey with you. Life is ever changing and I’m embracing it everyday with a renewed sense of optimism and hope. Once where there was anger and frustration, now there is joy and determination to move forward clothed in my armor of faith. Join me on my quest for understanding and healing. Hopefully it will help you find enlightenment within your own life journey. We’re all on this road together. Join me for a little while. We’ve got this! You just have to remember to keep the faith and know that you are loved!
